Accounts Payable Assistant

Scion Staffing has been engaged to conduct a search for an Accounts Payable Assistant for a growing technical and engineering-focused client. This is a full-time, onsite position located in Austin, Texas. POSITION OVERVIEW The Accounts Payable Assistant will support the financial performance of assigned field projects from initiation through completion. This position focuses on project cost tracking, revenue recognition, invoicing, and financial reporting while partnering closely with field and operations teams. PERKS Comprehensive medical, dental, and vision insurance options 401(k) retirement plan with employer participation Generous paid time off and paid holidays Collaborative, team-oriented culture with long‑term growth potential RESPONSIBILITIES Support project cost and revenue tracking, including payroll, expenses, materials, and purchase orders Ensure contract compliance and accurate project setup through completion Prepare and process weekly and monthly client invoices Reconcile project activity to the general ledger, including AR and unbilled revenue Prepare financial reports and metrics for leadership review Partner with field managers to support documentation, assignments, and timely billing QUALIFICATIONS Hands‑on experience supporting project cost accounting and accounts payable functions Strong ability to multitask, prioritize work, and meet deadlines Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and financial reporting tools Clear written and verbal communication skills Detail‑oriented, dependable, and collaborative team contributor COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS This full‑time position offers $18-22/hr + bonus , along with a comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, vision, life, and disability insurance, paid time off, and a 401(k) retirement plan.
