I'm partnering with a well-established, financially strong community bank seeking a Director of Commercial Lending as part of its long-term leadership and succession strategy.

This isn't a turnaround situation. The bank has strong credit quality, an experienced leadership team, and a culture built around collaboration, mentorship, and long-term independence. They're looking for someone who can lead an experienced lending team, develop relationships and business opportunities, mentor lenders, and help shape the future direction of the lending division.

What You'll Be Doing

• Lead an experienced commercial lending team, including commercial lenders, portfolio management, treasury management, and lending support professionals.
• Maintain and grow a commercial loan portfolio through business development and relationship management.
• Lead and mentor an experienced commercial lending team.
• Partner with executive leadership on lending strategy and growth initiatives.
• Participate in loan committee and other leadership meetings where your voice will help influence decisions.
• Help position the bank for continued growth while maintaining its strong credit culture.

What They're Looking For

• Commercial lending experience with a proven history of business development.
• Leadership experience managing or mentoring lenders.
• Strong credit skills and sound lending judgment.
• Someone who enjoys being active in the community and building long-term relationships.
• Experience in community banking is preferred, but candidates from larger institutions with the right mindset will also be considered.

Compensation & Benefits

A competitive compensation package will be offered based on experience, qualifications, and overall fit.
