Job Title: IT Support Technician Computer Refresh & Help Desk

Location: Austin, TX (Onsite)

We are currently seeking candidates who meet the following qualification

Required Qualifications

• Skill in handling multiple tasks, prioritizing, and meeting deadlines. Knowledge of personal computers, components, printers and microcomputers terms. Ability to work cooperatively with others in a professional work environment.
• Maintains, analyzes, troubleshoots, and repairs computer systems, hardware, and computer peripherals. Documents, maintains, upgrades or replaces hardware and software systems. Prepares or assists in the preparation of service record documentation.
• Provides technical assistance and support for applications and hardware problems. Installs, maintains, moves, and assists in testing and upgrading new and existing hardware/software. Maintains the necessary security controls over software.
• Ability to provide excellent customer services. Ability to lift and relocate 30 lbs.
• Installs, maintains, moves, and assists in testing and upgrading new and existing hardware and software. Maintains the necessary security controls over software.
• Experience using WordPerfect, MS Office Suite. Working knowledge of Windows Operating Systems. Skill in effective oral and written communication.
• Assists in monitoring and providing assistance on the use and interface of systems, subsystems, and software applications. May be responsible for accessing data from and transferring data to various local, state, or federal databases.
• Knowledge of the practices, principles, and techniques of computer operations, of information systems, of computer software and hardware, and of information security policies and procedures.
• Skill in the use and support of personal computers, in the use of applicable programs and systems, and in troubleshooting information systems. Ability to operate information technology systems and communicate effectively.
• Education: Graduation from high school or equivalent.
  
  
  
  

Preferred Qualification

• Windows 11 technical support experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist with manual labor and technical support associated with the computer/docking station refresh project.
• Perform day-to-day imaging, replacement of computers, and data migration.
• Follow agency-provided processes and procedures for computer refresh activities.
• Work as part of a team that includes an agency subject matter expert and project manager.
• Provide technical support related to computer systems, hardware, peripherals, and software.
• Install, maintain, move, test, upgrade, and replace hardware and software.
• Troubleshoot and repair computer systems, hardware, and computer peripherals.
• Provide technical assistance and support for application and hardware-related issues.
• Document service activities and assist with the preparation of service records.
• Maintain necessary security controls over software.
• Assist in monitoring and providing support for systems, subsystems, and software applications.
• Access and transfer data to and from various local, state, or federal databases.
• Provide excellent customer service and communicate effectively with users and team members.
