Key Responsibilities

• Provide independent advanced-level clinical expertise to women’s health patients, assessing and managing their healthcare needs.
• Monitor and manage chronic stable medical conditions, conduct routine check-ups, and deliver acute and critical care in accordance with established obstetric and gynecological protocols.
• Perform various non-invasive and invasive procedures, including but not limited to biopsies and minor surgical interventions, to ensure comprehensive care delivery.
• Make informed patient management decisions autonomously while also consulting with attending physicians and team members as necessary for complex cases.
• Serve as a clinical resource for nursing staff, residents, and other multidisciplinary team members, providing guidance and support in best practices for women's health.

Patient Population / Client Focus

The Women’s Health Nurse Practitioner will cater to a diverse patient population, ranging from adolescents to mature women. Your role will focus on addressing a wide array of health concerns, from routine gynecological examinations to complex obstetric situations, ensuring that every patient receives personalized and empathetic care to promote their overall health and well-being.

Qualifications

• A Master’s degree, Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP), or PhD in Nursing from an accredited institution is required.
• Possession of valid and unrestricted RN and Nurse Practitioner licenses is mandatory.
• Current American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• DEA certification must be obtained within three months of joining.
• Proven experience of at least one year as a Nurse Practitioner in outpatient settings specializing in Obstetrics and Gynecology, demonstrating proficiency in triage and quality improvement processes.
• Strong analytical and judgment skills, with the ability to effectively meet diverse patient needs and challenges.
• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills are essential for building rapport with patients and collaborating with other healthcare professionals.
• Ability to work independently, demonstrating strong organizational skills in a fast-paced healthcare environment.

Preferred Experience

Candidates with a minimum of two years of outpatient Nurse Practitioner experience in obstetrics and gynecology, particularly with a focus on clinical quality and performance improvement initiatives, will be given preference. Familiarity with electronic health record systems and ongoing education in women's health advancements are advantageous.

Compensation and Benefits
