Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct in-depth assessments of clients to evaluate the severity and impact of mood disorder symptoms, allowing for thorough understanding and appropriate intervention planning.

• Work collaboratively with clients to create tailored treatment plans, focusing on their individual needs, goals, and personal circumstances.

• Utilize evidence-based therapeutic techniques such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) to provide effective interventions that promote healing and resilience.

• Educate clients and their families on mood disorders, treatment options, and self-care strategies to empower them on their healing journeys.

• Continuously monitor and document client progress, making necessary adjustments to treatment plans to ensure the best possible outcomes.

• Engage in collaborative efforts with psychiatrists and other healthcare professionals to deliver integrated care, guaranteeing that all aspects of a client’s health are addressed.

• Stay informed about the latest research and best practices regarding mood disorders to enrich therapeutic methodologies and improve client outcomes.

• Ensure that all documentation related to client interactions, treatment plans, and assessments are maintained accurately and confidentially in compliance with ethical standards.

• Advocate for clients’ mental health issues, contributing to the destigmatization of mood disorders and ensuring that their voices are heard in treatment settings.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Our client population is diverse, ranging from adolescents to older adults, all of whom may be experiencing mood disorders such as depression, anxiety, or bipolar disorder. We focus on providing a supportive environment for individuals grappling with mental health issues. As a therapist, you will play a critical role in nurturing these relationships and guiding clients through their challenges.

Qualifications\n

• A valid California license as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), or Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC).

• A Master’s degree in a relevant field such as Marriage and Family Therapy or Social Work, demonstrating advanced knowledge and skills in mental health counseling.

• At least three years of experience in mental health counseling, particularly with mood disorders or similar emotional challenges.

• A firm understanding of California laws and ethical standards relating to mental health practices.
\n
• Successful completion of a background check through the FBI and DOJ.

• Current TB test results within the last six months.
\n

Compensation and Benefits\n

The salary range for this position is between USD 115,000 and 130,000 annually, reflecting the valuable contributions of our therapists while ensuring competitive compensation. In addition to the salary, Heartlight Counseling Center offers a comprehensive benefits package that includes health insurance, a retirement plan, and paid time off. A sign-on bonus may also be available for qualified therapists joining our team.
