About the Role
The Company is seeking a Chief of Staff for its Bureau of Asset Management. The successful candidate will work closely with the leadership team to spearhead special projects that have a significant impact across the agency, with a strong emphasis on strategic planning, trustee relationships, and ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) considerations. This role involves overseeing and restructuring the team's work to ensure a balance between the needs of the Bureau and the system trustees, as well as managing the preparation of all trustee communications and the BAM Investment Committee's activities. The Chief of Staff will also be responsible for monitoring and advising on the Bureau's budget, liaising with other departments on agency-wide priorities, and representing the Bureau at various meetings. Applicants must have a bachelor's degree and a minimum of 5 years' project management experience, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or managerial capacity, in investment management, government, nonprofits, or a related field. The role requires a candidate with a strong background in project management, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a collaborative and diverse environment. The Chief of Staff will be expected to maintain a high level of confidentiality, establish and maintain systems within the Bureau, and manage additional special projects as needed. The position is pivotal in the Company's mission to be a responsible steward of resources and to deliver exceptional investment outcomes for all stakeholders.
