Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced travel RN for a Med/Surg Telemetry position requiring at least 2 years of experience and a TN or compact RN license, with day shift availability and large hospital experience preferred.

Details

• MS/Tele unit in a large hospital setting
• Day shift schedule: 3x12s (7:00 AM – 7:00 PM); 4x12s (48 hrs/week) may also be available
• Weekend rotation required as needed
• Block scheduling is not accommodated, though weekend block scheduling may be considered
• On-call required as needed
• Floating between like units and campuses within 20 miles may occur, though cross-campus floating is rare
• Cerner EMR experience preferred

Requirements

• Active RN license in Tennessee or a valid compact license currently in hand — no pending licensure accepted
• Minimum 2 years of recent MS/Tele RN experience required (strictly enforced); 3+ years preferred
• ADN or higher required for this position
• Large hospital experience preferred
• At least one completed prior travel nursing assignment required — first-time travelers are not eligible (exception: candidates with 3+ years of recent experience may be considered)
• Driver's license required for consideration
• Vaccination records required for consideration

Additional Information

• Candidates must reside more than 100 miles from the facility to be eligible — local candidates are not accepted
• All requested time off (RTO) must be submitted upfront; RTO requests submitted after an offer is made will not be forwarded for approval and must be arranged directly with the unit manager or scheduler
• Former permanent employees or internal associate travelers must have been separated for at least one year before being eligible to return as a traveler
• If Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year's all fall within the assignment period, travelers must be willing to work at least 2 of the 3 holidays; if only 2 holidays fall within the assignment, at least 1 must be covered
