Senior GL AccountantLocation: Tysons, VA 22102 - Hybrid set up (2-3 days work onsite) Hours: 9-5 | M-F Assignment Duration: 3 months Possible for extension?What You'll Do:Provide full cycle accounting for a portfolio of class A office properties in the DC Metro RegionCreate month-end accounting journal entries. Work with property staff, lease administration, and other internal teams to ensure property financials are accurate & complete.Review all general ledger activity for accuracy and completenessPrepare monthly financial statements, balance sheet reconciliations and SOX workpapers.Draft variance report comments which explain a property's performance against budget and prior periods.Calculate tenant recovery billings for CAM and TaxReview new leases at property to ensure accurate revenue recognition and recovery set-up.Provide support for audit and tax compliance teamsProvide support for ad hoc ownership requestsProvide support to property management team. Be able to explain complex information to others without a financial background.Lead by example and model behaviors that are consistent with organization valuesWork within the client standard procedures to achieveWhat You'll Need:Bachelor's Degree preferred with 2-5 years of relevant experience. In lieu of a degree, a combination of experience and education will be considered.Experience with Yardi preferredStrong organizational skills with an inquisitive mindset.Ability to calculate complicated figures such as percentages, fractions, and other financial-related calculations.In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Office products (Excel, Outlook, Word, etc)Seniority Level: Mid-Senior level Industry: Real Estate / Financial Services / Banking Employment Type: Contract Job Functions: Accounting/Auditing
