Work Environment

This position is based in our outpatient office in Tampa, where you will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of healthcare providers. The onsite setting allows for face-to-face interaction with both patients and colleagues, enhancing communication and effectiveness in treatment plans. Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement physical therapy treatment plans tailored to individual patient needs, aiming to prevent disability, alleviate pain, and enhance muscle function and overall performance.
• Oversee and direct the work of physical therapy assistants, ensuring the effective application of the defined treatment plans.
• Conduct thorough evaluations of client functionality using diagnostic assessments of muscles, nerves, joints, and overall physical abilities.
• Assess and recommend modifications in a client's home environment to facilitate rehabilitation and encourage independence.
• Deliver in-home physical therapy services as per physician's orders, promoting effective communication and adherence to the treatment regimen.
• Administer manual therapy and therapeutic exercises while guiding patients in non-manual activities aimed at recovery.
• Evaluate and adjust any necessary prosthetic and orthotic devices, offering recommendations to physicians for enhancements to client care.
• Document clinical records meticulously, including evaluations, care plans, progress notes, and discharge summaries, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.
• Participate actively in interdisciplinary team meetings for comprehensive case management, contributing insights on patient progress and treatment outcomes.
• Educate and consult with clients and their families regarding the therapy program, ensuring thorough understanding and engagement.
• Complete all administrative tasks promptly, including clinical documentation and payroll submissions, in line with company policies.
• Provide supervision and training to physical therapy assistants, ensuring they deliver services in accordance with established protocols and state laws.
• Conduct functional assessments on-site and adjust care plans as needed to align treatment objectives with patient goals.
• Maintain accessibility to staff and provide guidance during treatment sessions.
• Perform additional duties as required to support the organization's mission and goals.

Patient Population / Client Focus

In this role, you will work with a diverse range of patients, including those recovering from surgeries, injuries, and chronic conditions that impair physical functioning. Your holistic approach to therapy will involve creating specific exercise regimens that cater to each individual's progression and personal goals, thereby fostering an environment of recovery and empowerment.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy or a Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited program.
• An active and unblemished Physical Therapist license in the state of Florida.
• Proven proficiency in varied manual therapy techniques and a track record of successful program development.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with other healthcare professionals.
• Exceptional knowledge of current evidence-based physical therapy practices and techniques.
• Experience with electronic medical record (EMR) systems, particularly in documentation best practices.

Preferred Experience

• Previous experience in an outpatient setting focused on rehabilitation.
• Demonstrated success in working with a range of patients, including geriatric populations and those with complex needs.
• Familiarity with telemedicine practices and patient engagement tools.

Compensation and Benefits

The annual salary for this role ranges from $100,000 to $120,000, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
