Key Responsibilities

• Evaluate patients' movements, assessing strength and flexibility to identify areas of pain or dysfunction.
• Develop and implement personalized treatment plans based on individual assessment results, focusing on specific orthopedic needs.
• Guide patients through therapeutic exercises and modalities, ensuring proper technique and safety throughout the rehabilitation process.
• Utilize hands-on therapy techniques, including joint mobilization and manual therapy, to promote healing and restore function.
• Assist patients in using rehabilitation equipment, such as resistance bands and balance boards, to further enhance their recovery.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient documentation, tracking progress towards treatment goals.
• Educate patients and their families on orthopedic conditions, treatment options, and at-home exercise programs to support recovery.
• Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to coordinate comprehensive care and referrals as needed.

Patient Population / Client Focus

In this role, you will primarily work with patients transitioning from acute care following orthopedic surgeries such as joint replacements, fractures, and sports injuries. With a patient volume of 1-2 patients per hour, you will have the opportunity to form strong therapeutic relationships and provide personalized care that focuses on each patient's recovery journey.

Qualifications

• Current and active Physical Therapy license in the state of Florida.
• Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy; a Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) degree is preferred.
• A minimum of 2 years of experience in an orthopedic outpatient setting is required.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills and the ability to interact effectively with a diverse patient population.
• Strong observational skills to assess patient needs and adapt treatment plans as necessary.
• Proficient in the use of electronic health records (EHR) and therapy-related software systems.

Preferred Experience

• Experience in developing complex treatment plans for a variety of orthopedic conditions.
• Strong background in educating patients and their families about recovery strategies and preventive care.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team to optimize patient outcomes.

Compensation and Benefits

This role offers a competitive annual salary ranging from $90,000 to $110,000, commensurate with experience, along with a comprehensive benefits package including:
