Key Responsibilities

As a Physical Therapist at Baylor Physical Therapy, you will be responsible for:

• Directing physical therapy treatments to alleviate pain, restore function, prevent disabilities, and enhance performance according to individual treatment plans.
• Overseeing physical therapy assistants to ensure adherence to established care plans and protocols.
• Conducting thorough evaluations of clients' physical capabilities through various diagnostic tests that assess muscle, nerve, and joint functionality.
• Assessing home environments for potential rehabilitation challenges, offering strategic recommendations to maximize client independence.
• Implementing prescribed physical therapy services effectively in the client's home, including manual therapeutic exercises, non-manual activities, and functional training.
• Administering appropriate interventions such as traction, massage, and heat treatments to facilitate recovery.
• Fitting and adjusting orthotic and prosthetic devices, collaborating with physicians for necessary modifications.
• Documenting all clinical records meticulously, including initial evaluations, care plans, progress notes, and discharge summaries.
• Participating in interdisciplinary team discussions to review and update care plans based on client progress.
• Educating clients and their families about home exercise programs and the use of therapeutic devices.
• Meeting compliance and documentation requirements in a timely manner according to branch policy.

The clients you will serve range from elderly individuals seeking rehabilitation after surgery to patients with chronic conditions requiring ongoing functional support. Qualifications

Candidates should possess the following qualifications:

• Doctorate degree in Physical Therapy (DPT).
• Active physical therapy license in the State of Florida, in good standing.
• Current CPR certification.
• A valid driver's license and automobile insurance, as travel to client homes is necessary.
• Demonstrated creativity and problem-solving skills, and the ability to make critical decisions independently.
• Excellent interpersonal communication skills, fostering collaboration with clients, families, and team members.

Preferred Experience
