Role Overview

micro1 is engaging Cantonese Transcription Experts to support a customer project focused on professional audio transcription and AI training. You'll use your Cantonese language expertise to create accurate, high-quality data that helps improve next-generation AI systems.

No prior AI experience is required—your linguistic and transcription expertise is what matters.

Scope of Work

• Transcribe and annotate Cantonese and English audio recordings accurately and consistently.
• Review and correct automated transcripts according to project guidelines.
• Capture language nuances, accents, dialects, speaker intent, and contextual cues.
• Produce clean, accurate, and time-stamped transcripts .
• Proofread and quality-check transcripts before submission.
• Resolve unclear or ambiguous audio content in collaboration with project leads.
• Apply required linguistic annotations and labels for AI training data .
• Provide linguistic feedback to improve transcription quality and workflows.
• Complete assignments according to project timelines and quality standards.
• Maintain confidentiality and data security throughout the project.

Preferred Qualifications

• Native or near-native proficiency in Cantonese .
• Strong understanding of Cantonese regional and dialectal variations.
• Professional experience with Cantonese audio transcription .
• Ability to accurately transcribe English audio is a plus.
• Experience using transcription, audio playback, or annotation tools.
• Ability to type in Traditional and Simplified Chinese .
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Experience with AI training, speech data, NLP, or linguistic annotation is beneficial but not required.
• Ability to work independently and consistently meet remote project deadlines.
