Behavioral Health Therapist - Peds/Adults, LCSW or LMFT

Provide a range of behavioral health services to multidisciplinary teams Serve outpatient practices of UCLA Health-Behavioral Health Associates Support adult, geriatric, child, and adolescent populations Conduct psychosocial assessments Coordinate care Provide consultation to the team Deliver individual, family, or group psychotherapeutic treatment Liaise with community agencies Document treatment plans Perform disposition planning and advocacy Maintain accurate clinical documentation and patient records Travel between Calabasas and Malibu clinics Maintain the expected caseload of patients Requirements CA Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) or CA Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) Masters in Social Work, Psychology, Marriage and Family Therapy or related field 2 years of experience and skill interacting with health care providers in a multidisciplinary setting 2 years of experience as a fully licensed, autonomous clinician 5+ years of psychotherapy experience in inpatient, outpatient, or group settings with or without license Working knowledge of general theoretical and clinical models Ability to develop effective rapport and working therapeutic alliances with patients Skill in writing clear and complete clinical notes and summaries of clinical evaluations Skills and experiences in documenting/charting to ensure current and accurate medical records are entered and documented in patient files in accordance with established Medical Records policies and procedures Knowledge of LCSW/LMFT ethics and scope of practice Ability to perform a complete mental status exam and recognize changes in mental status Ability to establish and maintain effective and mutually respectful relationships with professionals and support staff Knowledge of pertinent current community resources, including income maintenance, mental health treatment, special education, residential and vocational supports Ability to provide and maintain appropriate coordination of care with existing providers and/or variety of community agencies and demonstrate assertiveness, persistence, and diplomacy as an advocate for the patient Maintains the expected case load of patients Final candidate accepting an offer must disclose certain final administrative or judicial misconduct decisions or appeals from the last seven years Core Competencies Demonstrates expertise in providing behavioral health services across diverse populations, including adults, geriatrics, children, and adolescents.
