Birdi Systems is seeking a motivated Procurement Officer to lead the sourcing and acquisition of goods, services, equipment, and materials that support our operations and project delivery. This role partners closely with operations, logistics, finance, project teams, and suppliers to ensure resources are available on time, within budget, and in compliance with company standards.

The successful candidate will possess strong procurement and supply chain expertise, sound business judgment, and experience supporting fast-paced operational environments.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage the procurement process from requisition through purchase order, delivery, and issue resolution.
• Source, evaluate, and qualify suppliers based on cost, quality, service, lead time, and risk.
• Prepare and manage RFQs, RFPs, bid evaluations, purchase orders, and procurement documentation.
• Negotiate pricing, terms, delivery schedules, and supplier agreements.
• Coordinate with logistics and operations teams to ensure continuity of supply and on-time delivery.
• Monitor supplier performance and resolve quality, delivery, and service issues.
• Maintain procurement records, contracts, and purchasing data.
• Support inventory planning and cost-saving initiatives.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, contractual obligations, and procurement requirements.
• Prepare procurement reports and performance metrics.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, Finance, Operations, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of military education, logistics training, and relevant professional experience.
• 3-5 years of progressive experience in procurement, purchasing, supply chain, logistics, materials management, contracting, or a related field.
• Experience with supplier sourcing, bid analysis, negotiations, purchase order administration, and vendor management.
• Working knowledge of inventory management, transportation, warehousing, and supply chain operations.
• Strong analytical, organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and ERP, purchasing, or inventory management systems.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Military experience in logistics, transportation, contracting, supply, maintenance, quartermaster operations, or materiel management.
• Experience supporting construction, technology, infrastructure, manufacturing, government contracting, or similarly complex operating environments.
• Professional certifications such as CPSM, CPSD, CPIM, CSCP, CPPB, CPP, or comparable credentials.
• Experience with contract administration, regulated procurement, or government purchasing standards.
