Step into a rewarding opportunity to support students across a range of grade levels! This contract role offers the chance to work within four unique school buildings: two elementary campuses, a middle school, and a high school. You'll have the flexibility to provide services in diverse educational environments, making each day engaging and meaningful. The school district manages workloads by minutes rather than student count, with a quarterly schedule of approximately 8,000–9,000 service minutes. In-person service is required, making your direct impact on students’ growth and independence even more fulfilling.

Key qualifications and desired experience:

• Valid Illinois Occupational Therapy license (please include license number with your submission)
• Demonstrated experience in school-based OT settings or a strong passion for supporting children and adolescents in educational environments
• Ability to manage a caseload organized by service minutes rather than individual students
• Excellent organizational, time-management, and documentation skills
• Strong communication skills for collaborating with diverse teams of educators and administrators
• Commitment to delivering compassionate, evidence-based therapy

Role responsibilities:

• Assess, plan, and deliver occupational therapy services to support students’ educational needs within assigned schools
• Develop individualized intervention plans that address fine and gross motor skills, sensory processing, and adaptive functioning
• Collaborate with teachers, families, and multidisciplinary teams to ensure effective interventions
• Maintain accurate records and documentation as required by district guidelines
• Participate in IEP meetings, providing valuable input and supporting student progress

This full-time, in-person position begins as soon as possible and runs through May 25, 2027. Work 35 hours per week, with a 30-minute unpaid lunch each day, and enjoy the unique challenge of serving a dynamic variety of age groups.
