Main Line Physical Therapy is seeking a dedicated Home Care Physical Therapist to join our team in Arlington, Virginia. Work Environment

This position is an onsite role, primarily based in our clients' homes throughout Arlington, Virginia. Key Responsibilities

• Direct physical therapy treatment focusing on enhancing patient mobility, relieving pain, and rebuilding muscle function in alignment with individualized care plans.
• Evaluate the client's physical abilities through various assessments to inform treatment strategies.
• Supervise and instruct Physical Therapy Assistants, ensuring they deliver care in accordance with established protocols.
• Assess the home environment and recommend modifications to facilitate rehabilitation and improve client independence.
• Administer manual therapy, therapeutic exercises, and modalities such as traction and electrotherapy as needed.
• Carefully document evaluations, treatment plans, and progress notes in electronic medical record (EMR) systems, utilizing Web PT for effective tracking.
• Engage with interdisciplinary teams through case conferences to discuss comprehensive treatment plans and adjustments based on patient progress.
• Educate clients and their families on therapy programs, device usage, and self-management strategies for ongoing rehabilitation.
• Submit timely documentation for clinical and payroll purposes, adhering to branch policies.
• Contribute to the development and revision of care plans based on ongoing assessments and client feedback.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Our clients encompass a diverse range of ages and conditions, including individuals recovering from surgery, managing chronic pain, or dealing with mobility limitations. Therapists are responsible for delivering personalized treatments in a one-on-one setting to ensure that each patient receives focused attention and care tailored to their specific needs, ultimately enhancing quality of life and fostering independence.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy, with successful completion of state licensure requirements.
• An active Physical Therapist license in Virginia, free of sanctions or board proceedings.
• An array of manual therapy skills and proven ability to design effective, evidence-based exercise programs.
• Familiarity with EMR systems, especially Web PT, for documentation purposes.
• Current knowledge of physical therapy techniques, supported by relevant research.

Preferred Experience

While a Bachelor's Degree is a minimum requirement, candidates with a Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) and a history of clinical practice in home care environments will be prioritized. Experience in managing interdisciplinary team dynamics and advanced therapy modalities will enhance an applicant's profile.
