Empire Pain Management Medical Center is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Physical Therapist to join our team in Alexandria, Virginia. Work Environment

This position primarily involves working onsite in our patients' homes, which allows for a personalized approach to rehabilitation. Key Responsibilities

• Conduct detailed patient evaluations that incorporate physical assessments, taking into account physician referrals and patient history.
• Develop and implement personalized treatment plans, setting achievable goals aligned with the patient's functional recovery and rehabilitation objectives.
• Utilize a variety of therapeutic techniques including manual therapy, exercise prescription, and patient education to foster recovery and promote self-management.
• Document all evaluations, treatment progress, and discharge summaries in a clear, concise manner using appropriate professional terminology, ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations.
• Supervise and provide guidance to physical therapy assistants and support personnel to promote effective patient care and optimal outcomes.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams—including physicians, nurses, occupational therapists, and speech-language pathologists—to ensure cohesive care delivery and patient assessments.
• Participate in team meetings to share insights and contribute to problem-solving strategies, enhancing overall clinic productivity and patient outcomes.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Your primary focus will be on patients with orthopedic injuries, chronic pain conditions, and functional limitations requiring tailored rehabilitation strategies. You will work with individuals of all ages, employing age-appropriate interventions and ensuring communication is understood at each patient's level of comprehension.

Qualifications

• A Master's Degree or Doctorate in Physical Therapy is required.
• Current license to practice as a Physical Therapist in the state of Virginia.
• A minimum of one year of experience working in a physical therapy setting is preferred.
• Orthopedic physical therapy experience is essential to cater to our patient demographic.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills to effectively interact with patients and the interdisciplinary team.
• Proficient in using electronic health records and standard office software for documentation and communication purposes.

Preferred Experience

• Experience in inpatient or outpatient orthopedic rehabilitation settings.
• Familiarity with telehealth practices as a method for follow-up and patient engagement.
• Knowledge of evidence-based practices and current trends in physical therapy.

Compensation and Benefits
