Accounts Payable Specialist

Description

Island Hospitality Management is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Accounts Payable Specialist to join our dynamic team in West Palm Beach. This role is essential in ensuring accurate and timely processing of invoices for multiple branded hotel properties. The ideal candidate will bring strong organizational skills, a proactive approach to problem-solving, and a commitment to excellence in vendor relations.

This position is based out of our corporate office located at 1475 Centrepark Avenue in West Palm Beach, Florida.

Requirements

Key Responsibilities:

• Process and manage invoices for multiple hotel properties
• Accurately enter data into accounting systems
• Code invoices and verify proper coding for management invoices
• Resolve vendor inquiries and discrepancies in a timely manner
• Coordinate with the Purchasing Department to address AP and procurement issues
• Prepare and mail checks to appropriate vendors
• Perform additional responsibilities as assigned by the supervisor or management team

Qualifications:

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Excellent time management and organizational abilities
• Self-motivated team player with a strong sense of initiative
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
• Effective problem-solving skills with the ability to anticipate and resolve issues
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook)
• Experience with JD Edwards accounting software is a plus
