Key Responsibilities\n

As a Mental Health Counselor at Bedford Healthcare Center, your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

• Conducting thorough assessments and providing crisis intervention for patients experiencing emotional and behavioral challenges.

• Leading individual and group therapy sessions tailored to meet the unique needs of each patient.

• Maintaining accurate and timely clinical records and progress notes, adhering to departmental policies and protocols.

• Collaborating with physicians and interdisciplinary healthcare teams to report on patient progress, needs, and any emerging concerns.

• Developing comprehensive treatment plans, including discharge strategies, based on detailed psychosocial assessments.

• Actively engaging with local community resource groups and representing the organization at relevant meetings and committees to address the social needs of our patients.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Qualifications\n

• Master’s degree in Social Work, Psychology, Marriage and Family Therapy, or Mental Health Counseling.

Preferred Experience\n

While not required, candidates with experience in evidence-based therapeutic modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), or Motivational Interviewing will be given preference.
