Step into an impactful contract position as a Middle School Math educator where you’ll empower general education learners while building positive connections in a vibrant school community. This onsite, full-time role is ideal for a passionate educator eager to create engaging math experiences while shaping young minds during the 2026-2027 academic year.
Key Details:
- August 24, 2026 through June 10, 2027
- Full-time, 35 hours per week
- Onsite, with working hours between 8:30AM-4:00PM
- General education middle school math caseload; may occasionally overlap with SPED students (supported by specialized SPED teachers)
- Contract opportunity
Desired Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree (required for emergency teaching permit)
- Active Pennsylvania teaching certification/license for assigned caseload
- Demonstrated school-based experience, preferably in urban settings
- Proven ability to manage classrooms and student behaviors effectively
- Comfort working within district guidelines and unique school environments
- Mastery of math curriculum, instructional skills, and state/district standards
- Ability to create engaging lesson plans that incorporate formative assessment and differentiation
- Completion of PA state clearances prior to start date
- Reliable transportation is a must
- Availability to work the specified onsite schedule without accommodation
Role Responsibilities:
- Deliver dynamic and differentiated math instruction to general education students
- Design and implement lesson plans aligned with state and district expectations
- Ensure each student’s progress through regular formative assessment
- Support a positive, inclusive classroom atmosphere
- Communicate and collaborate with colleagues, support staff, and administration
- Maintain accurate records as required by the school and district
