The Opportunity

We are collaborating with manufacturing firms in Wyoming that are seeking skilled Tool Makers. These organizations are dedicated to maintaining high standards and are looking for professionals who can contribute effectively. Key Responsibilities

• Manufacture, repair, and modify complex tools, dies, jigs, fixtures, and gauges.
• Interpret blueprints, sketches, and 3D models to determine dimensions and tolerances.
• Set up and operate a variety of machine tools, including lathes, mills, grinders, and EDMs.
• Perform precision measurements using a wide range of inspection tools.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to tool performance and production.
• Maintain and calibrate tooling and equipment to ensure accuracy and functionality.
• Collaborate with engineers and production staff to optimize tool design and manufacturing processes.

Recommended Qualifications

• Journeyman Toolmaker certification or equivalent apprenticeship
• Minimum of 5 years experience in precision tool making
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings
• Strong understanding of GD&T principles and application
• Expertise in operating manual and CNC machining equipment (mills, lathes, grinders)
• Experience with various materials, including tool steels, carbides, and plastics
