Work Environment

This role is onsite, primarily focusing on home care settings, where you will engage with patients in their homes, creating a familiar and comfortable environment that aids recovery. Your regular work hours will be from Monday to Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM, allowing for a structured work-life balance. Your work environment will be further enhanced by a supportive team that includes two fellow physical therapists and a physical therapy assistant (PTA), all working collectively towards common patient goals.

Key Responsibilities

As a Physical Therapist at Empower-Self Physical Therapy, you will be responsible for:

• Conducting comprehensive evaluations to assess patients' individual goals and requirements.
• Managing a focused caseload of one patient per hour, ensuring each individual receives personalized attention and care.
• Utilizing your expertise in rehabilitation to provide cost-effective, evidence-based treatments that improve patients' mobility and reduce their reliance on medications.
• Crafting tailored treatment plans that incorporate diverse therapeutic techniques, including exercises for strength enhancement, flexibility improvements, and overall wellness.
• Motivating patients throughout their therapy process to help them achieve optimal levels of function.
• Collaborating closely with other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated and comprehensive patient care.
• Maintaining clear and thorough documentation of all patient interactions and progress towards treatment goals.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Your work will primarily involve individuals recovering from orthopedic conditions, postoperative rehabilitation, and chronic pain issues. Our patient demographic is diverse, providing ample opportunities for tailored treatment interventions that cater to varying age groups and mobility challenges.

Qualifications

The successful candidate will possess the following qualifications:

• A Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) and a valid state license to practice as a Physical Therapist in New Jersey.
• A commitment to maintaining an impeccable professional record without any disciplinary actions against the license.
• A strong proficiency in manual therapy techniques and the ability to develop and implement effective exercise protocols.
• Proficiency in utilizing Electronic Medical Records (EMR) software, particularly with experience in WebPT.

Preferred Experience

While relevant experience in outpatient orthopedic settings is essential, candidates who can demonstrate advanced skills in manual therapy and evidence-based practice will distinguish themselves. Compensation and Benefits

This full-time position offers a competitive salary ranging from $100,000 to $120,000 annually, along with a comprehensive benefits package that includes health insurance, paid time off, and opportunities for professional development.
