Responsibilities
- Provide direct, professional nursing care for patients across the lifespan as assigned within the ER/acute care environment
- Prescribe and deliver nursing interventions based on the nursing process and the medical plan of care; integrate input from patients and significant others
- Collaborate with physicians and the health care team to coordinate timely, safe patient care and ensure proper handoffs
- Conduct patient teaching and discharge planning to support safe transition home or to another care setting
- Delegate appropriate aspects of care to other nursing staff based on current clinical competence and scope of practice
- Maintain accurate documentation of care in the patient record and uphold standards of patient safety, privacy, and quality

Requirements
- Current California Registered Nurse license
- Graduation from an accredited nursing program (ASN or BSN) and eligibility to practice in California
- Experience in emergency department or acute care settings preferred
- Ability to work 12-hour shifts and adapt to an active, fast-paced ER environment
- Comfortable caring for patients across age groups, including neonatal through geriatric, as assigned
