Business Development Consultant

Proactive sales outreach to financial advisors and key contacts at firms in assigned territory via phone, email, virtual, and in-person meetings. Cultivate strong relationships with our strategic partners, registered representatives, and firms. Build an efficient and thoughtful outreach strategy incorporating company and territory goals. Identify new opportunities and grow existing client base. Regularly update advisors on industry trends in the current economic environment. Present technical product knowledge in an innovative way. Demonstrate an elevated level of market knowledge and the ability to discuss Hartford Funds’ investment solutions within a competitive marketplace. Requirements Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent on-the-job experience) Series 7 and Series 63 required A minimum of 3 years of wholesaling experience (internal or external) Technical proficiency of mutual funds, ETFs, and other Hartford Fund investment products Strong understanding of the market and sales process; how to prospect for clients and close the sale Demonstrated knowledge of investment trends and the financial advisory business A strong work ethic and ability to work independently Confidence in public speaking and excellent presentation skills Must be resourceful and possess superior problem‑solving skills Coachable Able and willing to travel up to 50% of the time Hard Skills wholesaling mutual funds ETFs investment products sales process prospecting closing sales market knowledge presentation skills technical product knowledge Soft Skills proactive relationship building work ethic independence public speaking problem-solving resourcefulness coachability communication strategic thinking Certifications & Qualifications Bachelor's degree Series 7 Series 63 #J-18808-Ljbffr Jobtailor
