Step into an impactful role this upcoming school year by contributing your expertise as a School Psychologist in a part-time contract position near Hammond, IN. In this role, you’ll collaborate closely with a dedicated team—including a Speech-Language Pathologist and two Diagnosticians—helping conduct arena evaluations for preschool-aged children as they near their third birthdays, with a primary focus on autism assessments. This opportunity allows you to leverage your professional skills while maintaining a flexible, part-time schedule.

Key Qualifications & Experience:

• Master’s or Specialist-level degree in School Psychology from an accredited program
• Valid or eligibility for state School Psychologist certification
• Experience or interest in early childhood/preschool assessment is highly desirable
• Comfortable collaborating in a multidisciplinary setting
• Strong interpersonal, observation, and evaluation skills
• No CPI (Crisis Prevention Intervention) certification required
• Availability to start between August 10 and 17 for the 26/27 school year

Your Responsibilities:

• Participate as a key member of the preschool arena testing team to conduct comprehensive evaluations
• Assist with arena evaluations specifically for children turning three, focusing largely on autism spectrum disorder assessments
• Work collaboratively on-site 14-15 hours per week at a single elementary location
• Contribute professional recommendations as part of a multidisciplinary team
• Ensure timely documentation in accordance with district and state guidelines
• Engage regularly with colleagues and families to support student needs
