About the Position

ICU Registered Nurse Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: ICU Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day 3x12-Hour Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum of 1 year required, Neuro ICU experience preferred License: Valid compact nursing license required Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS Must-Have: - Previous charge experience - Patient ratio experience - Charting system experience, preferred experience with Epic Description: BLOCK 1ST TIMERS OK - ICU RN. Position will float between units. No on-call required. Weekends are required; a minimum of 6 weekend shifts in a 6-week schedule. Block schedules are approved based on staffing/unit needs. Expected patient ratios are 1:2 or 1:3. Special requirements include a preference for Neuro ICU experience. Are 48-hour shifts approved? Yes. Type of facility is a short-term acute care hospital with a total of 379 staffed beds, designated as a Level II Trauma Center. Department uniform/dress code mandates solid navy blue for licensed nursing personnel and solid hunter green for unlicensed personnel. Must commit to working 3 of the 5 holidays: Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day. Pre-approved time off requests must be made up-front during submission. Candidates may be expected to float between nearby facilities. Travelers' refusal to float may result in termination of the assignment. References required covering 1 year within the last 3 years. Communication devices may be provided by the client for the assignment. If the client does not provide a mobile phone, reimbursement for work-related cell phone use may be provided, up to a maximum amount. Modules are non-billable, all time spent on modules is factored into non-billable hours.
