LHH Recruitment Solutions is partnering with an established biotech organization on an open-ended contract opportunity for an Accounts Payable Specialist to join their finance team. This position has the potential to evolve into a permanent role. We are seeking a candidate with experience in accounts payable, expense reimbursements, and corporate card administration who thrives in a fast-paced environment. In this role, you will support day-to-day payment processing, travel and expense activities, and ongoing process improvement initiatives.

Responsibilities:

• Manage the full cycle of vendor payments, employee reimbursements, and expense-related transactions while ensuring accuracy and timely processing
• Review invoices, expense reports, and corporate card activity for proper approvals, compliance, and accounting treatment
• Partner with employees, vendors, and internal departments to resolve payment discrepancies, documentation issues, and account inquiries
• Administer travel and expense programs, including reimbursement processing, approval workflows, and corporate card maintenance
• Support month-end close activities through reconciliations, reporting, and analysis of accounts payable and expense-related transactions
• Leverage financial systems and expense platforms to monitor activity, troubleshoot issues, generate reports, and improve workflows
• Assist with audits, internal controls, and process improvement initiatives aimed at enhancing efficiency and strengthening financial operations

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• 2+ years of accounts payable experience
• Experience with ERP and accounting systems such as SAP, Concur, Coupa, or similar platforms
• Strong Excel skills, including Pivot Tables and VLOOKUPs
• Excellent attention to detail, organization, and communication skills

Schedule:

• 1 day per week in office, 4 days remote (Midtown, Manhattan)
