Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough clinical assessments to understand clients' needs, employing solution-focused techniques and evidence-based practices to inform personalized treatment plans.

• Implement therapeutic interventions, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), tailored to meet the unique challenges of each client.

• Engage in regular case consultations and peer review meetings to enhance the therapeutic approach and share insights with fellow practitioners.

• Maintain meticulous, HIPAA-compliant clinical records and documentation to ensure accountability and continuity of client care.

• Educate clients and their families about mental health disorders, treatment options, and supportive resources in the community, empowering them to advocate for their health.

• Stay abreast of the latest developments in mental health research and methodologies to continuously improve clinical practice.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Our counseling clinic caters to a diverse clientele, including individuals grappling with trauma, anxiety, depression, and other mental health challenges. As a therapist, you will work closely with clients of varying backgrounds and age groups, tailoring your therapeutic approach to accommodate their unique experiences and cultural contexts. This role places a strong emphasis on fostering a trusting therapeutic alliance, ensuring that clients feel safe and supported throughout their healing processes.

Qualifications\n

• Master's or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current, active license to practice as a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW), Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC), or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) within the state of New York.

• Solid understanding and application of solution-focused psychotherapy techniques, with the capability to customize interventions based on client needs.

• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, alongside strong interpersonal abilities to build rapport with clients and colleagues.

• Cultivates a collaborative approach in team settings and contributes positively to a supportive work environment.
