Step into a rewarding contract opportunity supporting student success as a Speech-Language Pathologist in the Houston area’s southwest region. This full-time, school-based role offers a dynamic setting, working with middle or high school students (grades 6–8 or 10–12, depending on your preference). As an integral part of the educational team, you’ll provide a full spectrum of SLP services or, if desired, focus on supervision, shaping communication outcomes for a diverse group of learners.
What We’re Seeking:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology and active Texas SLP licensure (please include an image of your license).
- Willingness to complete district-required fingerprinting for credentialing.
- Open to Clinical Fellows (CFYs), as well as experienced SLPs.
- Previous school-based experience preferred, especially with adolescents.
- Ability to manage a caseload of approximately 50–60 students.
- Flexibility to be assigned to middle or high school buildings, mindful of your ZIP code.
- Comfortable with full scope SLP responsibilities (therapy, ARDs, testing, documentation), or providing supervision only if preferred.
- Exceptional communication, organizational, and collaboration skills.
Your Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct therapy to students in individual and group settings based on IEPs.
- Participate actively in ARD/IEP meetings and contribute to multidisciplinary team decisions.
- Conduct thorough assessments and evaluations, maintaining current and accurate documentation.
- Communicate progress transparently with staff and families to support student achievement.
- Provide supervision and mentorship to SLPAs as needed.
This contract position runs from August 11, 2026, through May 26, 2027, with a consistent 37.5 hours per week on-site.
