Payroll Specialist We're not in the shipping business; we're in the information business" -Peter Rose, Expeditors Founder Global supply chain management is what we do, but at the heart of Expeditors you will find professionalism, leadership, and a friendly environment, all of which foster an innovative, customer service-based approach to logistics. 15,000 trained professionals 250+ locations worldwide Fortune 500 Globally unified systems Job Description Entry Level 0-2 years of experience Maintain all payroll data, ensuring the highest level of accuracy and confidentiality Verify accuracy of timesheets and correct any errors Process personnel changes in payroll system (Dayforce) Research and help with tax issues Be able to compute withholding and deductions with gross earnings Respond to Verification of Employment requests Run & distribute payroll reports Create and update payroll processing manuals Filing/Scanning Be able to troubleshoot issue before asking for assistance Communicate timely and professionally with employees and managers to help and resolve issues Takes on additional tasks when requested by management Creates efficient processes Qualifications BS/BA degree Mid-level knowledge of Excel, Word, and Outlook Effective interpersonal skills, including proven abilities to listen, comprehend, effectively communicate clearly and concisely to obtain positive results Pro-active and strong organizational skills, attention to detail and time management skills Proven analytical skills ability to analyze/interpret data and take appropriate action Capable of working without close supervision Strong work ethic and team player Additional Information Expected base salary: $55,000 $65,000 Expeditors offers competitive benefits to all full time employees including: Paid Vacation, Holiday and Sick Time Health Plan: Medical, Prescription Drug, Dental and Vision Employee Assistance Program Life and Long Term Disability Insurance 401(k) Retirement Savings Plan Various Optional Life and Disability Plans Commuter Benefits Employee Stock Purchase Plan Training and Education Program All your information will be kept confidential according to EEO guidelines.
