Bright Mental Wellness Services is seeking a dedicated Licensed Mental Health Counselor to join our telehealth team in Union Hill, New York. This full-time position will allow you to provide comprehensive mental health care to clients experiencing a variety of mental health challenges, including depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, and substance abuse issues. Key Responsibilities\n

As a Licensed Mental Health Counselor, you will be responsible for:

• Conducting comprehensive mental health assessments to identify patients' needs and creating tailored treatment plans.

• Delivering evidence-based therapeutic interventions using modalities such as cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), solution-focused therapy, and others to support individual, couple, and family sessions.

• Facilitating psychoeducational and support groups to foster community engagement and provide education on mental health topics.

• Collaborating with psychiatrists, psychologists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure integrated and holistic patient care.

• Providing crisis intervention services during mental health emergencies, ensuring safety and appropriate follow-up care.

• Educating patients about their mental health conditions, treatment options, and community resources for additional support.
\n
• Maintaining comprehensive, accurate, and confidential documentation in compliance with legal and ethical standards.

• Participating actively in case consultations, team meetings, and continuous professional development activities.

• Keeping abreast of the latest research and advancements in mental health therapy to continually enhance your practice.

Your work will directly impact a diverse range of clients across various demographics, including individuals and families struggling with mental health issues. Our clientele may include those experiencing acute mental health crises, chronic mental health conditions, or those seeking preventive care. You will play a critical role in helping clients navigate their journeys toward recovery and resiliency.

Qualifications\n

To be considered for this role, you must possess:

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree from an accredited institution in Social Work, Mental Health Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy, or Psychology.

• A current and valid licensure as an LCSW, LPC, or LMFT in the state of New York.
\n
• Strong understanding and application of mental health disorders and evidence-based treatment modalities.
\n
• Experience in conducting mental health assessments and formulating effective treatment strategies.
\n
• Proven capability in delivering individual and group psychotherapy to a variety of populations.
\n
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to foster therapeutic relationships.

• A commitment to ethical practice and professional boundaries.

• Proficiency in electronic health record (EHR) systems and other relevant technologies.

• The ability to work cooperatively within a multidisciplinary team environment.

Preferred Experience\n

Preferred candidates will have experience in telehealth, familiarity with crisis intervention techniques, and a background in working with various mental health disorders. Additional certification in trauma-informed care or similar specialties is a plus.

Compensation and Benefits\n
