Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor – Interventional Radiology – University of California San Diego Position title: Interventional Radiology Faculty. Salary range: The posted UC Salary scales set the minimum pay at the appointment as determined by appointment type and, if applicable, rank and/or step. The starting salary for this position is $435,000. Salary is negotiated annually. Additional compensation may be available if the position includes membership in the Health Sciences Compensation Plan. Position Description The Department of Radiology at the University of California, San Diego is committed to academic excellence among its faculty, staff, and student body. We are currently seeking full‑time and part‑time faculty members to join the Interventional Radiology Division, which provides the full spectrum of minimally invasive, image‑guided treatments for a wide range of conditions, including cancer and vascular disease. Faculty are actively involved in clinical care across UC San Diego Health sites, contribute to cutting‑edge research, and participate in leadership roles within the health system and the broader medical community. The selected candidate will be responsible for providing expert clinical care, actively participating in the teaching and training of medical students, residents, and fellows, and contributing to research initiatives that advance the field of radiology. Appointment level will be based on the candidate’s background and experience (Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor). Appointments may require candidates to be self‑funded. As a member of the Health Sciences Compensation Plan, the appointee should be aware of limitations on outside professional activities; clinical moonlighting is expressly prohibited. Qualifications Basic qualifications (required at time of application): MD, DO, or equivalent degree. Board certified or board eligible in Interventional Radiology. Hold or be eligible for a California medical license or equivalent certification/permit, as determined by the Medical Board of California. Additional qualifications (required at time of start): Completion of an Interventional Radiology fellowship, an integrated Interventional Radiology residency, and/or an independent Interventional Radiology residency by the start of the appointment. Preferred qualifications: Clinical experience in all aspects of Interventional Radiology. Experience in novel Interventional Radiology procedures.
