We are looking for an Accounts Receivable Clerk to support day-to-day receivables activities for a busy team in North Tonawanda, New York. This Long-term Contract position is ideal for someone who is organized, detail-focused, and comfortable managing billing, payment posting, and customer account follow-up. The person in this role will help maintain accurate financial records while contributing to timely collections and consistent cash flow.

Responsibilities:
• Process customer invoices and ensure billing records are complete, accurate, and issued on schedule.
• Apply incoming payments to the appropriate customer accounts and resolve discrepancies in cash posting when needed.
• Monitor outstanding balances and conduct commercial collections activities through timely follow-up with clients.
• Review aging reports regularly to identify overdue accounts and escalate issues that require additional attention.
• Reconcile receivable transactions and investigate variances to keep account balances current and reliable.
• Communicate with internal teams and external customers to answer invoice questions and support payment resolution.
• Maintain organized documentation related to receivables, collections efforts, and cash application activity.
• Assist with updates to processes or systems affecting accounts receivable workflows when applicable.• Experience supporting accounts receivable operations in a detail-focused business environment.
• Working knowledge of commercial collections practices and customer account follow-up.
• Ability to handle cash applications accurately and match payments to open invoices.
• Familiarity with billing functions and maintaining precise financial documentation.
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to identify and resolve account discrepancies.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills for working with customers and internal stakeholders.
• Proficiency with standard office software and accounting or ERP systems used for receivables management.
