Start Date: 05/18/2026

End Date: 08/15/2026

Shift: Evening/Night, 12-hour shifts (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM)

Hours per Week: 36-40 hours (4 days one week, 3 days the next)

Employment Type: Contract

License/Certs: Valid RN license, BLS, ACLS, PALS (NRP preferred)

Experience: Minimum 2 years PICU experience; cross-training and ability to float to Adult ICU or Med/Tele preferred

Hourly Pay Rate: $53.60

What You'll Do

• Provide high-quality nursing care to PICU patients with diagnoses including MS, DKA, Sepsis, Respiratory Failure, Neuro conditions, and post-surgical care
• Titrate medications such as pressors, insulin, heparin, and sedation agents
• Manage IV access, including peripheral, CVL, and telemetry monitoring
• Perform wound care, drains management, and handle wound vacs
• Collect blood samples and perform IV procedures
• Collaborate with hospital staff including intensivists, hospitalists, and RTs for optimal patient care
• Follow hospital policies and safety protocols, utilizing Meditech Expanse EMR system

What You Need

• Valid RN license in Louisiana or applicable state
• BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications
• At least 2 years PICU experience; permissive if willing to float to Adult ICU or Med/Tele
• Skilled in PIV, CVL, telemetry, wound care, and titration of critical medications

• Experience with Meditech Expanse EMR and Alaris pumps
• Ability to handle complex patient cases including neuro, respiratory, and post-op care
