What You’ll Do:

Safely and accurately draw blood samples from patients of all ages, including pediatric and geriatric populations, demonstrating proficiency in venipuncture and capillary collection.

Prepare specimens for laboratory testing in accordance with established procedures, ensuring sample integrity and correct labeling.

Create a welcoming and trusting environment for patients by explaining procedures clearly and maintaining a professional, empathetic demeanor.

Follow all safety protocols, maintain a clean and organized workspace, and uphold confidentiality at all times.

Maintain detailed and accurate records of collections and patient interactions, supporting seamless laboratory operations.

Collaborate with clinical staff and supervisors to ensure timely and efficient service delivery, demonstrating leadership behaviors and process excellence.

Participate in rotating Saturday shifts, with flexibility for on-call, holiday, and overtime hours as needed.

What You Bring:

Proven proficiency in phlebotomy, including experience with pediatric and geriatric patient populations.

Strong customer service skills, with the ability to put patients at ease and communicate effectively.

Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail to ensure specimen accuracy and proper documentation.

Ability to work independently with minimal supervision in a fast-paced environment.

Competency in keyboarding and data entry to support efficient record-keeping and specimen processing.

A high school diploma or equivalent is required; medical assistant or paramedic training is preferred.

Phlebotomy certification is preferred, especially for candidates in California, Nevada, and Washington.

Minimum of six months of hands-on phlebotomy experience is required; one year or more is highly preferred.

Flexibility to work weekends, holidays, and overtime as needed.

Preferred but Not Required:

Medical training such as medical assistant or paramedic backgrounds.

Additional experience in customer service within retail or service environments.

Other Details:

This position requires the ability to provide error-free work in a high-volume setting.

Candidates must be detail-oriented, respectful of patient confidentiality, and committed to process excellence.

Physical stamina to perform blood draws and stand for extended periods.

Certification compliance as dictated by state regulations (preferred).
