- Drive the recruiting, hiring, and performance management process
- Establish rapport with potential and actual customers
- Independently or with your manager, determine product to be sold, setting prices and credit terms based on customer demand and forecasts
- Ensure availability of merchandise
- Authorize payments and merchandise returns
- Establish and implement Branch work rules
- Ensure safety, security, and maintenance standards are met
- Perform the tasks of Branch staff as needed and while also attending to management duties
- Management experience in a retail environment, accomplishment with reaching sales goals, and staff development;
- Proven sales track record with experience in the tile and stone industry or building materials is strongly preferred;
- Ability to understand and contribute to an organization's vision, goals, and priorities;
- Superior relationship-building skills; strong communication skills (verbal, written, presentation);
- Ability to self-motivate with excellent organizational, interpersonal, and proven team-building skills;
- Solid computer and systems skills;
- Formal or informal training in interior design/architecture and/or a Bachelor's Degree is helpful
- Willing to train the right candidate
