Position Summary:

The Neonatal Nurse Practitioner (NP) is responsible for delivering healthcare services to neonates, infants, and children up to the age of one. This role involves caring for critically ill premature and full-term infants, with a strong focus on family-centered and culturally sensitive care. Working closely with the Neonatologist, the NP is accountable for the daily assessment and management of patients across varying levels of acuity.

The Nurse Practitioner collaborates with a multidisciplinary team to ensure a seamless continuum of primary, acute, and subspecialty healthcare for patients.

Through advanced practice, education, and research, the NP enhances the quality of care provided.

Salary Information:

Salary Range: $120,000.00 - $190,000.00 annually

This range reflects the expected annual salary for this role if employed in New Jersey. The final compensation for the selected candidate will be influenced by various factors, including educational qualifications, skills, and professional experience.

General Qualifications:

• CDS and DEA certifications
• Current NRP and BLS certifications

APN-Specific Qualifications:

• Active APN License
• Current RN License
• One of the following certifications:
• NNP Certification with NICU RN experience
• Primary Care Pediatric NP Certification with APP experience in an inpatient environment
• Acute Care Pediatric NP Certification with procedural experience in a PICU setting as an APP

Work Schedule:

• Full-Time
• 36 hours per week (12-hour shifts: day/night/weekends/holidays)

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct thorough evaluations and assessments of patients.
• Diagnose and manage a variety of medical conditions in partnership with a physician.
• Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and implement treatment plans.
• Perform necessary medical procedures.
• Coordinate care with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals.
• Effectively communicate treatment plans and health education to patients and their families.
• Stay updated on medical best practices, guidelines, and regulations.
• Engage in ongoing education and professional development.
• Participate in research or quality improvement initiatives as required.
