Shape precision parts on Swiss lathes in Bellingham, MA

Picture your day: you arrive at Staffworks Group’s client facility in Bellingham, MA, review a blueprint, set up a Star Swiss‑type lathe, dial in your tooling, and refine a program so the first‑article hits spec. You verify dimensions with hand metrology tools, keep the line humming, and collaborate with teammates to run a clean, safe, and efficient cell.

Employment type: Full‑time | Compensation: $28–$30/hr based on experience | Status: Immediate opening

What you’ll do

Own Swiss lathe setups and on‑machine programming from first piece through run.
Interpret blueprints and manufacturing drawings to plan tooling, offsets, and sequences.
Use precision measuring tools and hand metrology to verify critical dimensions.
Operate across multiple materials , adjusting feeds/speeds and tooling selection accordingly.
Work independently after training and collaborate closely with peers and leadership.
Follow company policies, safety protocols, and quality procedures.

What makes you successful here

MUST HAVE : Swiss lathe set‑up and programming experience.
Familiarity with Star Swiss machine controllers .
Strength in CNC tooling selection and optimization.
Hands‑on troubleshooting and basic CNC machine repair capability.
Proven precision measurement & hand metrology skills.

Star CNC Swiss lathes
Haas CNC lathes (2–4 axis)
CNC lathes with 5+ axis capability
