About the Role
The Company is seeking a Vice President of Inside Sales to lead the expansion and enhancement of its North America SMB inside sales team. The successful candidate will be responsible for bringing in and implementing proven inside sales best practices to drive customer expansion and new logo growth within a deep vertical software business. This role involves building and leading a high-performing team of Account Executives, setting the operating rhythm, and ensuring the team is equipped to sell a complex vertical portfolio. The VP will also be expected to partner across the go-to-market team, including with customer success, sales operations, and marketing, to ensure a cohesive and effective sales strategy. Candidates for the Vice President of Inside Sales position must have a minimum of 10 years' experience in B2B software sales, with at least 5 years in a leadership role within SMB inside sales, particularly in a vertical software environment. The role requires a proven track record in both new logo acquisition and customer expansion, as well as experience in selling a combined offer of software, hardware, and professional services. The ideal candidate will have a strong command of pipeline metrics, forecasting, and CRM tools, and be adept at coaching and developing sales talent. A background in an industrial vertical or heavy building materials is strongly preferred, along with experience in SaaS sales and a formal qualification methodology. The VP should be a results-driven leader, capable of building effective teams, and with a focus on customer-centric solutions and innovation.
