Creative Strategist for DTC Brands

Role Description
As a US Creative Strategist, you'll be dedicated to our US market brands, developing and testing concepts for American audiences with the specific buyer psychology, market awareness stages, and offer positioning that move cold traffic in that market.
What You'll Be Doing
- Research & Concept Development
- Developing 15–20 net-new concepts per week across video and image formats.
- Conducting deep research into high-impact angles, unique mechanisms, and market awareness stages.
- Studying competitive intelligence, consumer psychology, mass desire, and internal winners.
- Building concepts rooted in how American buyers think and respond.
- Scriptwriting & Creative Execution
- Writing compelling, high-converting direct-response scripts.
- Producing clear, detailed briefs for editors and designers.
- Owning the creative pipeline for your assigned brands.
- Writing across formats: UGC-style scripts, direct-address video ads, static ad copy, and image concept briefs.
- Collaboration & Iteration
- Working closely with the Lead Strategist and execution teams.
- Leveraging proven copy structures and frameworks.
- Feeding insights back to the wider team to improve our creative playbook.
- Performance Analysis & Scaling
- Analyzing winners and losers weekly.
- Rapidly iterating winning concepts into multiple variations.
Qualifications
- Proven direct-response experience.
- Strong copywriting skills across video and static formats.
- Deep understanding of consumer psychology and awareness stages.
- Obsessive researcher with a knack for finding unique angles.
- High output capacity, averaging 15–20 concepts a week.
Requirements
- You don't have real experience in ad creative strategy or direct-response copywriting.
- You want to spend weeks polishing one campaign.
- You struggle with volume, operational workflows, or fast feedback cycles.
- You're uncomfortable with the reality that most ads fail before one wins.
- You're balancing multiple jobs or clients.
What Success Looks Like
- Consistently producing 15–20 net-new concepts per week.
- Achieving a 10%+ creative hit rate.
- Operating as a reliable creative partner.
- Hands-on experience with 7–8 figure brands.
- Performance-based upside with base + commissions.
- High ownership of concepts influencing spend and revenue.
- Rapid learning environment with proven frameworks.
- Clear growth path to Lead Strategist or larger brand scope.
