Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

Embark on a rewarding opportunity supporting early childhood learners as a Special Education Teacher covering maternity leave from August 3 to November 30. This contract position offers a unique hybrid schedule, blending on-site presence at area schools with remote flexibility for administrative tasks. With a focus on delivering vital special education services, you'll make a meaningful difference across several communities.

Key Qualifications & Experience:

• Valid Special Education teaching certification or endorsement for early childhood
• Experience working with preschool or early elementary students in a special education setting
• Ability to provide in-person assessments and instruction, as well as remote completion of paperwork and IEP meetings
• Familiarity with developing and implementing individualized education plans (IEPs)
• Strong communication and organizational skills
• Comfortable traveling to Kiowa, Bennett, and Byers as needed

Core Responsibilities:

• Deliver high-quality special education services in person to a diverse caseload of young learners
• Conduct student assessments and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams
• Complete all special education paperwork and participate in IEP meetings virtually as permitted
• Adapt teaching strategies to meet individual student needs and learning goals
• Communicate progress and recommendations to families and staff
• Uphold compliance with all state and federal special education regulations

This position spans 65 school days, working Monday through Thursday for a total of 32 hours each week, allowing for a healthy work-life balance through the hybrid structure.
