Step into a dynamic contract opportunity as an Early Childhood Special Education Teacher, providing essential maternity leave coverage during the fall semester. This role serves multiple school sites near Genoa, CO from August 3 to November 30, supporting students and teams in the Kiowa, Bennett, and Byers areas. Enjoy a balanced four-day workweek (Monday–Thursday) totaling 32 hours per week. This hybrid position lets you work remotely for paperwork and IEP meetings, while in-person presence is needed for direct services and assessments.

Desired Skills & Experience:

• Valid state certification as a Special Education Teacher (Early Childhood specialization preferred)
• Experience delivering special education services in school-based settings
• Knowledge of IEP development, assessments, and compliance
• Strong communication and collaboration skills for partnering with families and staff
• Comfort with hybrid (on-site and remote) work environments
• Organizational skills to manage paperwork, compliance, and caseload efficiently

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver early childhood special education services to a diverse student population
• Conduct assessments and facilitate IEP development and meetings (remote participation allowed)
• Collaborate closely with general and special education staff, families, and related service providers
• Maintain documentation and track student progress in accordance with state and federal regulations
• Support students’ growth and learning by adapting instruction to individual needs
• Provide in-person instructional services and assessments at assigned school sites
