CORRECTIONAL SUPERVISING COOK (CORRECTIONAL FACILITY)

Position Summary Correctional Supervising Cook, CF – California Men's Colony, San Luis Obispo. Salary: $4,586.00 - $5,639.00 per month. Responsibilities Supervise and train staff and inmate‑workers responsible for preparing meals for patients in a correctional health care facility. Oversee the preparation and dispensing of therapeutic diets per physician orders. Ensure staff and inmate‑workers follow all departmental and institutional policies and procedures, including Title 15, the Department Operations Manual, California Code of Regulations Title 22, Standard Operational Procedures, Diet Manual, California Retail Food Code, and Food & Nutrition Services Manual. Supervise the cleaning and sanitation of the kitchen facility and equipment. Maintain order and supervise the conduct of inmates, and protect and maintain the safety of persons and property. Qualifications Minimum requirements are detailed in the Class Specification. Minimum salary: $4,586.00 – $5,639.00 per month. New to state candidates will be hired into the minimum salary of the classification.
