Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive evaluations to assess the severity, frequency, and duration of mood disorder symptoms presented by clients.

• Collaborate with clients to create individualized treatment plans tailored to their unique experiences, preferences, and therapeutic goals.

• Utilize leading evidence-based practices, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), to deliver high-quality care.

• Educate clients and their families on mood disorders, treatment alternatives, and effective self-care strategies to promote recovery and self-management.

• Regularly monitor client progress, adjusting treatment plans and strategies as necessary to ensure optimal outcomes.

• Work closely with psychiatrists and other medical professionals to offer integrated and holistic care to our clients.

• Stay informed about the latest research and advancements in mood disorder treatment to continually enhance therapeutic interventions.

• Maintain thorough and confidential documentation in compliance with legal and ethical standards, ensuring the highest level of client confidentiality.

• Participate in team meetings, case consultations, and professional development opportunities to foster your own growth as well as that of the team.

• Advocate for clients’ mental health needs and work to reduce stigma around seeking help, contributing to a more supportive environment for mental wellness.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

The primary focus of this role is on clients living with mood disorders, including but not limited to depression, bipolar disorder, and anxiety. You will engage with a diverse range of individuals, including those from marginalized communities, such as homeless individuals, refugees, and survivors of domestic violence. Your role will involve understanding their unique experiences and tailoring your therapeutic approach to meet their specific needs.

Qualifications\n

• Active and unencumbered state license as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT).

• A Master's Degree in Marriage and Family Therapy or a closely related field.

• Demonstrated ability to establish a safe and trusting relationship with clients through strong communication and interpersonal skills.

• Empathy, compassion, and an open-minded approach to understanding and addressing clients’ struggles and experiences.

• Annual salary range of USD 70,000 – 90,000, commensurate with qualifications and experience.
