Pay & Benefits

• Hourly Pay Rate: $1.00 (equivalent to a competitive annual salary range of $300,000 - $350,000)

What You’ll Do

• Provide direct medical care for hospitalized patients including admissions, rounding, and discharges
• Evaluate, diagnose, and manage a range of acute and chronic conditions
• Collaborate closely with specialists, nurses, respiratory therapists, and other healthcare professionals
• Coordinate care plans and ensure smooth transitions of patient care
• Order, interpret, and respond to lab tests, imaging, and diagnostic studies
• Document all encounters thoroughly in the EMR
• Respond effectively to medical emergencies and codes
• Participate in interdisciplinary rounds and hospital committees
• Educate patients and families on diagnoses and treatment plans

What You Need

• MD or DO license to practice in Vermont or eligibility to obtain licensure in Vermont
• Preferred: Prior hospitalist experience
• Key skills: Strong clinical judgment, communication, and teamwork skills
• Not open to candidates who commute more than 1 hour, visa sponsorship, nor those seeking locum or multiple commitments
