Pricing & Merchandising Analyst

Our client, a leading company in the fresh produce distribution industry, is seeking a Pricing & Merchandising Analyst for a contract position based in Laurel, MD. This role is responsible for reviewing customer pricing, market trends, and national account data to identify margin growth opportunities, while overseeing bid setup and maintenance for Corporate Multi-Unit (CMU) and Local contracts.

Key Responsibilities:

• Review all customer pricing, markets, and national accounts for margin growth opportunities
• Oversee setup and maintenance of CMU and Local contract bids and order guides
• Analyze data and propose actions to purchasing and sales departments to ensure compliance and grow margin/profitability
• Develop and maintain pricing strategy at the item level, reviewing accuracy on an ongoing basis
• Analyze use of earned income to help establish proper pricing structures
• Provide technical support, customer relations, and personnel management for major programs and projects

Required Qualifications:

• Strong, relevant pricing and merchandising experience
• Demonstrated margin/profitability analysis experience
• Experience with bid setup and maintenance
• Proficient in Microsoft Office
• Strong analytical skills
• Excellent written and oral communication skills

Preferred Qualifications:

• Background in accounting/finance within a distribution or food industry setting
• Experience working with Corporate Multi-Unit (CMU) contracts

About the Role:

Contract Duration: Approximately 6 months (est. 1,064 total hours)

Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM (subject to change based on business needs)

Location: Laurel, MD (100% on-site)

Travel: None required

Compensation: Competitive rate
