Location: Columbus, Ohio

Schedule: 12-hour day/night rotation or 12-hour nights; floating required; patient ratio 1:4

Highlights:

• Specialized Oncology Pod within a high-acuity Emergency Department setting
• One of the few dedicated oncology emergency care units in the country
• Epic EMR system utilized facility-wide
• 15 rooms, 19 beds; comprehensive interdisciplinary support including respiratory, radiology, pharmacy, and rapid response teams
• Patient population includes pediatrics, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics
• Up to 7 consecutive days off may be granted for 14-week contracts (facility discretion)

Requirements:

• Minimum 2 years of Emergency Department experience required
• 1 year of travel nursing experience required
• Oncology experience preferred but not required
• Epic charting experience required
• Current, active experience in acute care ED setting within the last 12 months
• Valid RN license (Compact or Ohio state license in hand at time of submission)
• Graduation from an ACEN or CCNE accredited nursing program
• Certifications: BCLS, ACLS, NIHSS, PALS
• Proficiency in IV starts and telemetry monitoring
• Skills in emergency medications, dysrhythmia interpretation and management, central line care, ventilated patient care, blood product administration, BiPAP/CPAP management, triage, and obtaining 12-lead EKGs
• Two professional references required (at least one from a manager/director or formal supervisor)
