This assignment, conveniently located near Hurst, TX, seeks an educator ready to make a significant difference in the lives of four students in grades 1st through 3rd.
Your expertise will play a crucial role in fostering a positive and structured classroom environment. Preferred candidates will bring experience working with students exhibiting severe behaviors and hold CPI (Crisis Prevention and Intervention) training or be willing to obtain it.
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Valid Special Education teaching certification
- Proven experience in educating students with severe behavioral challenges
- CPI training highly preferred
- Strong classroom management abilities
- Commitment to individualized instruction and behavioral intervention plans
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills with staff and families
Primary Responsibilities:
- Design and implement specialized instructional and behavioral strategies
- Offer tailored support to a small group of elementary students (grades 1–3) with severe behaviors
- Collaborate closely with faculty, parents, and specialists to develop Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Maintain thorough documentation on student progress and interventions
- Promote a safe and nurturing environment focused on social-emotional growth
