Key Responsibilities

• Perform thorough evaluations and assessments of patients to determine their physical therapy needs, utilizing tools like functional movement assessments and pain scales.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans in collaboration with each patient, setting achievable goals based on their specific medical history, current condition, and personal aspirations.
• Utilize evidence-based practices and the latest orthopedic methodologies to guide therapy techniques, including manual therapy, therapeutic exercises, and modalities such as ultrasound or electrotherapy.
• Maintain accurate and thorough documentation of patient progress and treatment outcomes to comply with regulatory standards and enhance continuity of care.
• Regularly collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure a comprehensive approach to patient rehabilitation, discussing treatment plans during weekly case reviews.
• Educate patients and their families regarding recovery strategies that include injury prevention techniques and a personalized exercise regime to follow at home.

Patient Population / Client Focus

You will work with a diverse patient population ranging from athletes recovering from sports injuries to elderly patients working toward improving their mobility after surgery. Understanding the unique circumstances and health challenges that different demographics face will be crucial in tailoring effective treatment strategies.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited institution is required to qualify for the role.
• A valid state licensure or certification as a Physical Therapist is mandatory to practice in New Jersey.

• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to foster a trusting relationship with patients and their families.

Preferred Experience
