Medical Receptionist

Our client, a healthcare provider dedicated to delivering compassionate and efficient medical services, is seeking a Medical Front Desk Receptionist to join their team. As a Medical Front Desk Receptionist, you will be part of the front office support team, ensuring smooth patient flow and excellent communication. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong organizational skills, empathy, and professionalism, which will align successfully in the organization.

Job Title: Medical Front Desk Receptionist

Location: Kingston, NY

Pay Range: $21.00/hr

Shift: Monday-Friday, 7:45am-5:00pm or 8:45am-5:00pm

What's the Job?

• Greet patients, families, and vendors warmly upon arrival to create a welcoming environment.
• Manage patient intake, including collecting identification and insurance information, and securing signatures via EMR (Medent).
• Notify clinical staff of patient arrivals to manage wait times effectively.
• Book, reschedule, and cancel appointments, and send digital reminders for upcoming visits.

What's Needed?

• Excellent communication skills with clarity, empathy, and professional etiquette.
• Proficiency with Medent and familiarity with tools like Healtheconnections, HIXNY, and Citrix.
• Ability to multitask efficiently, managing busy phones, patient questions, and administrative duties simultaneously.
• Strict adherence to privacy regulations to ensure confidentiality of sensitive health and financial data.
• Strong organizational skills to maintain a clean and organized waiting area and manage office supplies.
